Androidの利用規約について

Androd 4.2以降のSDKの利用規約（Terms and Conditions）の変更内容の一部が話題となってます。
グーグル、Android OS断片化の拡大防止のため、SDKに新たな利用条件を設定

話題になっているのはSDKダウンロードページのこの文章。

原文

Terms and Conditions3.4 You agree that you will not take any actions that may cause or result in the fragmentation of Android, including but not limited to distributing, participating in the creation of, or promoting in any way a software development kit derived from the SDK.

訳すとこんな感じです。

3.5 Androidの断片化を引き起こす、または結果としてそうなるいかなる行為を取らないことに同意する。
これにはSDKから派生する何らかのソフトウェア開発キットの配布、創作への参加、宣伝を含むが、これに限らない。

君が何を言ってるのか、わからないよ！

話題になってるようなUnity締め出し！みたいな感じに読み取るのはだいぶ無理があるけど、好意的に読もうと思っても解釈が難しいなぁ。

オープンなものに対して断片化を禁止するって、ソースコードは公開するけどForkしないでね！って感じに聞こえるんだけど、どうなんだろうね。

規約の修正か説明の追加がありますように。
